Getting started

Who is Pilates suitable for?

People of all ages and fitness levels. Programmes are adapted for beginners, intermediate and advanced students, with modifications for back, neck or knee issues.

What is the recommended starting age?

Children under 12 are not accepted in Reformer classes. Clients under 20 (the legal age in Thailand) need parental consent.

Is the studio women-only?

Yes. The Moon is a women-only studio.

Is there a trial or first-class offer?

Yes, our Welcome packages for new clients: 3 Private Reformer sessions for 3,500 THB, or 3 Group Reformer classes for 2,100 THB. Available all year, only with your first membership (one per new client). Sessions must be used within 3 weeks of purchase.

Which languages do the instructors speak?

Tümay: Turkish, English · Esra: Turkish, English · May: Thai, English. All classes can be taught in English.

Should I choose group Reformer classes or private sessions?

If you are new, have specific physical concerns or want personal attention, start with private sessions. Group classes suit those who know the basics and enjoy a group atmosphere. For noticeable progress, aim for 3 sessions a week.

What should I bring to my first class?

Comfortable clothes. Socks are not required, but we recommend grip socks so you don’t slip. Grip socks are sold at the studio from 14 October 2026. Mats and all equipment are provided.

How often should I practise?

At least 3 times a week for the best results. Regular practice improves endurance, flexibility, posture and overall strength.

Classes & booking

What is Reformer Pilates and what are its benefits?

Reformer Pilates uses a machine with springs and pulleys for adjustable resistance. It improves strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, core stability and body awareness, and supports injury prevention and rehabilitation.

What is the difference between Reformer and Mat Pilates?

Mat Pilates uses your body weight on the floor. Reformer Pilates uses a spring-loaded machine for adjustable resistance and a deeper, more supported workout.

How many people are in a group class?

From 19 October 2026: Group Reformer max. 6 · Chair max. 6 · Mat Pilates 15 · Sculpt Pilates 10 · Trampoline 10. Private and Prenatal sessions are one-to-one.

Is there parking?

Yes. There are 2 parking spaces in front of the studio, and you can also park in the streets around it.

Can I wear regular socks on the Reformer?

Socks are not required, you can also train barefoot. Regular socks can slip, so we recommend grip socks.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 12 hours before any class. Late cancellations and no-shows use up the session or credit. For group classes, students who are more than 10 minutes late cannot join the class, to protect the flow of the class and the focus of other students.

What is Moon Membership?

Moon Membership is a prepaid credit package for our group classes, for clients who want to use all the group classes in the studio. Private Reformer sessions are not included. Each class has a Moon value: Group Reformer 1.5 Moon · Chair 1.25 Moon · Sculpt Pilates and Trampoline 1.5 Moon · Mat Pilates 1 Moon. When you book, the class value is taken from your Moon balance. 50 Moon: 25,000 THB, valid 3 months, includes 1 complimentary Private session · 100 Moon: 47,500 THB, valid 6 months, 10% off Private packages · 200 Moon: 90,000 THB, valid 12 months, 15% off Private packages.

What are Moon Rewards?

Moon Rewards is our loyalty programme. It is separate from Moon Membership. You earn 1 reward Moon for every 5,000 THB you pay at the studio (packages, memberships and classes). 10 reward Moon = 2,500 THB, and rewards can be used from 10 Moon. Use them as a discount on a new package (only if it is not already discounted, and not combined with campaigns or other offers), or to buy any class, Private included, at single-session prices. Any value left stays on your account and keeps growing: for example, 10 Moon (2,500 THB) for a Private session (2,000 THB) leaves 2 Moon on your account, usable again once you reach 10 Moon.

Pilates & your body

Is Pilates good for office syndrome?

Yes. It corrects posture, strengthens the neck, shoulder and back muscles and eases tension from long hours of sitting.

Is Pilates suitable for spinal conditions?

Yes, with the right modifications. For spinal problems, hip dislocation, scoliosis and similar conditions, we ask for your doctor’s approval before you start. Clients with back pain or recovering from an injury start with Private Reformer sessions.

Does Pilates help with weight loss?

Pilates is not mainly about burning calories, but it tones the body, improves muscle definition and supports metabolism. Combined with healthy eating, it helps with weight management.

Does Pilates make you taller?

It doesn’t change your height, but better posture and spinal alignment help you stand taller and look more upright.

Does Pilates build muscle?

It strengthens and tones rather than bulks, for a lean, strong and elegant physique.

What if I feel pain during class?

Mild muscle fatigue is normal, but sharp pain is not. Tell your instructor straight away so the exercise can be adjusted.

Pregnancy

Can pregnant women practise Pilates?

Yes. Prenatal Pilates helps with balance and strengthens the back and pelvic floor. It is private only, needs your doctor’s approval and is always taught by a certified prenatal instructor.

When can pregnant women start Pilates?

Clients who already exercise regularly and are in good condition can start from the first week of pregnancy, with their doctor’s approval. If you have never exercised before, we recommend starting from the second trimester, with your doctor’s approval.
